Who we are and what we do

Thurnby & Bushby Parish Council has ten councillor positions and currently has no positions unfilled.

The Council meets on the second Monday of the month (unless this is a Bank Holiday when the date of the meeting is altered to either the first or the third Monday of the month. The meetings commence at 7.00 p.m. and are held at Manor Field Pavilion, Grange Lane, Thurnby. There is a ramp giving access to the Pavilion.

Agendas for meetings are available three days prior to the meeting, excluding Sundays and Bank holidays. The Agenda is displayed on the seven notice boards in the parish. The Agenda and Clerk's Report are also available by going to "Meetings Calendar". Hard copies of the Agenda are available free of charge at the meeting.

Any member of the public wishing to make representations, ask questions or give evidence at a meeting must notify the Clerk prior to the commencement of the meeting. The time allowed for each member of the public to make a representation, ask questions or give evidence is limited to three minutes. Where there is a group of members of the public wishing to make similar representations, ask similar questions or give similar evidence, the group must appoint one representative to speak on its behalf.

Councillor Amanda Burrell runs a Parish Council Information Centre at the Manor Field Pavilion, Grange Lane, Thurnby on Wednesday mornings from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. (except during School holidays) where you can view planning applications, have access free of charge to the Internet and receive guidance on use of the internet and other IT issues. There is a ramp giving access to the Pavilion.
