Parish Council elections take place on Thursday 7 May 2015.

The Parish of Thurnby and Bushby is split into two Wards. Thurnby Ward has seven Councillor places and Bushby has three. Please see the links below for copies of the election notices. These are also posted outside the Memorial Hall, Main Street, Thurnby which is the polling station.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF: COURT ROAD (part), THURNBY

Please note this press release replaces the previous notice.

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to the closure of the above road.

The closure is required from the junction of Lakeside Court to the junction with Grange Lane.

There will be access along Grange Lane onto Main Street, and vice versa.

The road will be closed from 07:00 hours Monday 16th March 2015 for up to 3 weeks.

This will safely allow Leicestershire Highways carry out Carriageway Resurfacing and Installation of Three Sets of Rubber Speed Cushions. More »

During the closure the alternative route for users will be via:-

Stoughton Road, Thurnby Lane, Stoughton Lane, Church Road, Main Street (Evington), Spencefield Lane, A47 Uppingham Road, A47 Thurnby Hill, A47 Uppingham Road, Grange Lane (Thurnby) & Vice Versa. » Less

Harborough District Council are offering a Staying Healthy grant fund which is an opportunity for community and voluntary groups, not for profit organisations and social enterprises to apply for up to £2000 to deliver health and well being projects within the Harborough District.
